Reds vs. Cardinals

They started up last night and i'm still too pissed to discuss last nights loss.

Busch Stadium needs to be burned to the ground. It's kryptonite for the Reds.

And the freakin' Pirates were idle last night.

Pirates on a 3 game losing streak and the Reds lose 3 right along with them.

Now 4.5 games back of the Cardinals. Pulling out a split would be a nice way to finish this series.

I'm just not banking on it. The way they are playing right now is exactly what concerned me earlier.

So I was looking at the next series with the Cardinals that is 4 games, thinking we were playing them 4 games THIS series.

My bad. They certainly handled things last night with that big 10-0 win.

Bailey had a nice outing and Bruce had a dinger and 5 RBI's.

3.5 back and they have the night off tonight.

I saw that the Cardinals' final 16 games are against sub .500 teams. It makes the division picture look somewhat bleak, but here's hoping they completely tank like they did last night.

The Cards have been known to play poorly against average teams, so I don't know how to take that.

Also, the Reds play 16 of their last 25 games at home. That doesn't hurt.

The Pirates lost last night as well, so I was happy about that.

Honestly though, I will give credit where credit is due.

The Pirates have come a long way over the past few seasons.
