Reds vs. Cubs

They start a 3 game series with the Cubbies tonight in Chicago.

They have gotten back to 5 games behind the Pirates.

Yep, and now the Cards and Pirates are going to be beating on each other.

After this, the Pirates and Diamondbacks are playing...not sure who to root for there since the Diamondbacks are the team we have to worry about in the wild card picture.

They only managed 4 hits on the night and fortunately, one was a 2 run homer by Phillips.

That was enough for the 2-0 win with Latos getting his 12th win, going 8 innings and striking out 9.

Both the Cards and Pirates were off last night, so the Reds are now 4.5 back.

The Cards and Pirates start their 3 game series tonight in St. Louis.

If the Cards can manage a sweep and the Reds win right along with them, the NL Central would be very interesting.

So good to see Ludwick back. He went 0-3, but he was hardly alone last night.

Broxton looked good as well when he pitched against the Padres.

If Cueto and Marshall ever get over their stuff, then we'll be in a good spot come October.

Agree in it being nice to see Ludwick back out there again.

Maybe he can be that spark this team has needed for some time.

Yeah, him going 0-3 last night is nothing as there were only 4 total hits anyway.
