ArmyBengal
The Reds start a 4 game series tonight with a double header tomorrow (where we are the home team) against the Giants.Arroyo, Cingrani, (Reynolds), and Leake will get the starts for the Reds. While I said I will take 2 of 3 from the Pirates, do you know what I won't take ??Bruce going a combined 0-11 with one walk during the Pirates series.I know he tends to do this from time to time during a season, but d*mn.GO REDS !!! skyline
Or Votto and Phillips ruining a bases-loaded/ no outs threat in the 8th. Painful.Fingers crossed for a good West Coast trip. This team needs it.

ArmyBengal
Anyone stay up to watch the complete game shutout by Arroyo last night ??Yeah, me neither. The Reds ended up winning 11-0, but I turned it off and went to bed after the 2nd inning and the Reds up 5-0.Lincecum took an absolute shelling last night.Glad to see Mesoraco look like he cared at the plate last night going 3-5 with a dinger. Many of the starters got pulled last night and the bullpen wasn't used.Nice to have that heading into a double header today. Here's to hoping they didn't use up all their hits for this series last night. ArmyBengal
Another side note that I missed is that this was Arroyo's 100th win as a Cincinnati Red.Arroyo became the 17th pitcher credited with 100-or-more wins since the Reds joined the National League in 1890, but besides Arroyo, only one of those guys (Tom Browning) has pitched for the Reds anytime over the last 25 seasons./>http://espn.go.com/mlb/team/_/name/cin/cincinnati-reds

Then again, I live in Colorado, so it wasn't as late for me. Arroyo looked just as good in the 9th as he did in the 1st. And that catch by Robinson was the perfect way to end the game. ArmyBengal
The Reds exploded in the first game of the double header and winning 9-3 and then lose in the second game 5-3.I kind of thought that might be the case and still don't think that situation was fair to the Reds, but whatever. If they can pull out the win tonight with Leake on the mound, taking 3 of 4 from the Giants, I will be very happy. ArmyBengal
The Reds open up the West Coast trip by taking 3 of 4 from the Giants. You have to love how that turned out. When was the last time the Reds scored 8+ runs in a game and not one of them came off a long ball ??Last nights 8-3 win was exactly that. I loved seeing them hit like that as well.Leake, even giving up 12 hits, was pretty effective in his 6 innings of work.On the flip side, I still don't care for Logan Ondrusek.
