braham, comparing webster to ray lewis

At least Ray has a resume, Webster has had one good year on a losing team.

Nate and Ray have the same amount of Super Bowl rings, correct?

But I get your point.. I think that saying any player as the best of all-time is never correct. You could say Emmitt Smith is the best Running Back of all-time but then you get the fans of Walter Payton or Jim Brown to think otherwise. It's an endless argument that only shows biased opinions. It'll only go as far as telling the wife she looks fat in that outfit and still get laid that night.

Now with that said, I do think Ray Lewis is the most dominating defensive player in the game playing today. But I also think he's had a great cast around him.. not saying that deflates his abilities, but all greats have other great players at their respected positions. Every year that Lewis has been in the Pro-Bowl, he's taken some of his teammates on defense as well.

Exactly. I can't sit here with a straight face and say Ray is definitively the best linebacker ever ;)

I can say that he is the best linebacker I have ever seen in my lifetime and honestly even that can almost be qualified to "best inside linebacker" I have ever seen because LT and the OLB position he played is so different.

I never got to see some of the great ones prior to the 80s so I much less no one else can compare, its the apples and oranges cliche.

And while you are right that Ray has been surrounded with talent, you must also concede that from 96-98 and the 2003 season, he was a one-man show.

Damnit, I can't wait for Madden to come out already!!!!

LOL :lol::lol::lol:

I've been playing 2004 nonstop in preparation for 2k5. I love Franchise mode, I'm up to 2014 and sadly Chad Johnson has retired. Still have Palmer and Washington with Schobel and Levi Jones still active. On the D I still have Weathersby :( and Thornton.

It shows how young a team the Bengals have, and hopefully some of those guys will still be around and playing well in 2014, for real.

I can't wait for 2k5!! Has anyone heard what the improvements were over 2k4??
