ArmyBengal
To start, i'd just like to say all the adds on that page make me feel like i'm going to snap into an epileptic seizure. Jesus that's busy !!!Next, I agree. The defense needs that guy that simply puts the fear of God in players. I thought Rey was going to be that guy, but it hasn't worked out that way to this point in time. Maybe this is the year that happens for him. Burfict could certainly be that player, but he's up against a pretty good learning curve. Maybe a healthy Dunlap getting more reps and terrorizing QB's off the edge could do the same. What about Mays actually coming along well in coverage and/or being the guy they compared him to in Roy Williams laying jokers out ??I think this team has that ability, but the really need to get a focus and make it happen.Get angry, get pissed off, pretend someone kicked your f*cking dog, whatever.Just go knock the sh*t out of someone and let them know you are going to be there for the whole game doing the same thing....Kicking their ass !!! walzav29
I just write for the website. It's nice to be able to channel my Bengal disorder. It seems historically that LB is the position that steps up in that way. Although when I think of the Buccaneers it was Warren Sapp who was that guy. Maybe Geno can be that guy. ArmyBengal
When thinking about Warren Sapp, you also can't forget they also had guys like Brooks, Nickerson, and Quarles playing LB during his time there.

Elite physical talent coupled with bloodthirsty ruthless abandon and leadership/motivational ability doesn't come along every year. Plus it's hard to identify those intangibles. I think the Bengals thought they had one in Pollack, and maybe they did but for ill fortune.
ArmyBengal
Look, I would be satisfied with a player that was capable of putting the fear of God into offensive players and willing to take a leadership role, even if they weren't the elite physical talent. I don't want it all, I just want an intimidator, a fear factor kind of guy. Someone willing to lay a hit that will leave them thinking twice.
