Bengals hold workout for local players

Last Tuesday, the team hosted a number of college players with local connections. A couple that were intriguing to me were Luke Kuechly, DeVier Posey and Ben Martin.

I doubt that Kuechly will be there at 17 and I don't see the team picking him at that spot even if he is. I just don't think he has the size to be a game changer in the NFL.

As for Posey, I think his speed and athleticism is a big plus. He was a state champ in the 400m in high school and could be a lower round pick that might add a deep threat to the WR corps without giving up a high draft pick.

Martin is a big kid that was a great pass rusher in high school. I didn't get to see him play much at Tennessee but judging by the picture he has filled out his frame since HS. He might be another lower round guy that could help in the D-line rotation.
