Takeo51
Has anyone heard anything from Boomer on the Carson situation? Just curious as to his take on Carson and if he sympathizes or resents his fk-u Bengals stance.

Just curious as to his take on Carson and if he sympathizes or resents his fk-u Bengals stance. If you plow back through this thread, he recants his own situation when the team drafted Klingler after Boomer "secretly" asked MB for a trade after the ouster of Sam Wyche. Passepartout
Seems like it was a so-called "secret." Wish Carson the best though. As I always have and will like him.
bengalskyspy
I hear from insiders that the Bengals have clearly moved on from Carson Palmer. They will not draft a QB high, but rather look to free agency for a starter. Their preference would be Kevin Kolb, but there are a number of short term options that could work in the West Coast offense they are installing, such as Marc Bulger, Matt Hasselbeck, etc. None of these guys make your heart skip a beat, but could be better than a rook.Based on this, I believe this whole thing is just letting CP save face instead of just drafting a QB. Mike Brown is willing to take the heat, because he knows there is nothing new being said about him. In a strange way, it demonstrates the man's fierce loyalty that he is willing to take the bullet.
