ArmyBengal Posted July 16, 2010 Report Posted July 16, 2010 If Volquez can continue to pitch like he has in his rehab stints, we will be more than ok heading into the 2nd half !!! Quote
AGrizzlyBaer Posted July 16, 2010 Report Posted July 16, 2010 If he is healthy he will have about 15 starts to the end of the year. Let's hope we see the Volquez of 08 in those starts. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted July 17, 2010 Report Posted July 17, 2010 Lets hope we continue to see some of the 2010 Volquez. The one that has been throwing the ball 97mph during his rehab !!!I know what you mean Griz, I was just adding to it. He wasn't able to throw that hard before the surgery, but there was a good article I read somewhere about how he's had to prepare and how much effort he has put into his rehab. They were saying how most of the time, the pitchers struggle with control after Tommy John, but Volquez hasn't really. They think it's due to how much effort he put into coming back from the surgery.Anyway around, I'm glad he's back and can't wait to see how he does his first start back with the team.If he does well, hopefully the bullpen won't blow it for him.
