kingwilly
I think the Raiders made one of the best picks.I also liked the pick of Spiller by Buffalo was a good selection.I am guessing that the Rooney's wanted to give Ben a new azz to grab by taking Pouncey..... Kazkal
Best single pick I'd go with Jets or Cardinals getting very highly rated players at the end of the round...But I think biggest winners day one are the Seahawks. They landed a OT who was considered the best Tackle in the Draft at 6# Then Earl Thomas who Mayock had as his 1# safety at 14....After that I really like 49ers Their Oline is going to be beastly but did they really have to jump the Dolphins? or were they scared Dolphins would trade down and someone would jump them for davis? BengalPimp
Detroit getting Suh. Best pick by miles.I also think Detroit had a great 1st round. Not only getting Suh, but trading back into the late 1st to get Jahvid Best....possibly brilliant. If Best can stay healthy, he'll be better than Spiller. Had Jahvid Best not gotten hurt, he would have been the 1st RB taken. Lions offense has got some young talent...Best at RB, Stafford QB, Calvin Johnson WR, and Brandon Pettigrew TE...but then again, they are the Lions. princeton
Green Bay was the luckiest team in the draft.
ArmyBengal
I go with Seattle as well. One of the top OT's to start right away, a top safety to start right away (big value pick), and you can't forget the fact they are going to be picking real soon and have the chance to take either Clausen or McCoy to relive some concerns about Hasselbeck's often broken butt. They made the smart pick instead of reaching for Clausen in the first. I think it will pay off greatly for them !!!
ArmyBengal
I'm also kind of surprised no one said our beloved Bengals. While Bryant was still on the board, he would not have been a day one starter or impacted the offense the way Gresham will right away. Gresham was the best TE in the draft and filled a glaring hole for the team. Carson will have a great deal of options with him in the mix and he presents not only a huge Red Zone target, but a matchup nightmare for opposing defenses. While it might not have been the sexiest pick, it may end up being one of the most productive picks for an offense in the first round. Yeah, I'm serious, but will also acknowledge it's on the coaching staff to utilize him properly.Seattle is my #1, followed by the Bengals. There I said it...BengalPimp, you want in on this action ??For the record, while I like McClain, I thought he was a wasted pick for the Raiders with all the other holes they had on their roster. I don't think they will need to worry about MLB for a while, but what difference will it make when whichever sh*tty QB they currently have or possibly draft in the 2nd round is getting killed because their o-line is still one of the worst in the league ?? I was watching with a Raiders buddy of mine and he's still absolutely beside himself with pissed off...
ArmyBengal
Ok, I see where the Seahawks don't have an early pick in the 2nd, so that isn't that great, but their 1st round was still very good for them...
BlainThePain
Best draft so far is the Seahawks, but best single pick was the Packers getting Bulaga. They get a great prospect at their biggest need, late in the first round. Things could not have gone better for them so far.

HairOnFire
It seems to be flying under the radar, propably because at #5 Kansas City was almost guaranteed they'd get a great player, but still.....I thought the Chiefs pick of Eric Berry was the best. Great fit, great value, fills a huge need, and for my money Eric Berry was the very best player available in the entire draft.
Sea Ray
I think Seattle did very well but they kind of had to. They only have one pick today.I like what Detroit did. Can they continue to screw up with all these players?

What are the chances of a TE having the leverage of holding out versus and traditional "skill" player especially if he can help right away? Thus Gresham over Dez. Thus Gresham over Dez.I don't think being able to sign him would have been that much of a problem at #21. That spot is pretty much slotted, and I actually like the fact that both the Steelers (#18) and the Falcons (#19) are in front of us. I think those organizations will work out deals before training camp, thus allowing us to sign our pick right after for a fair value. Would be more concerned if there were multiple franchises ahead of us with weaker management. I don't see a holdout with Gresham, and I wouldn't have seen a hold out with any other player either...even Bryant.

So much so, that I feel the Bengals pick of him should be considered one of the better picks of the 1st round. I was just asking if you wanted to further that thought ?? BengalPimp
My Bad. I obviously loved the pick, and did think it was one of the best picks in regards to how much Impact it will have. He's a day 1 starter. I see a very different, more productive offense because of him. If Carson looks to him early, he will exploit the defense. I just don't think you can cover him with a LB, and if they bring a Safety up to help, that will free up either Chad or Antonio Bryant with single coverage. They won't be able to play the safeties back and take away everything deep like they did last year. When he does establish himself, opposing defenses will have to adjust for him the same way they do for Clark, Gonzalez, Gates, etc. That again will open things up for our Wides. We also had no legit Red Zone target after TJ left, Gresham is that dude. The guy is saying all the right things, is a very hard worker and wants to be the best....How can anyone not love that? derekshank
....How can anyone not love that? 4.72Yep. And I still don't think the Bengals have anyone to force safeties to respect the Bengals deep. Not saying Gresham won't be effective, but the problem with the Bengals passing game was that they couldn't stretch the field. Gresham doesn't solve that problem.Hopefully Bryant will surprise me.
