Tampa Bengal Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 Should the Bengals sign Darrell Russell? Quote
Barbarian Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 That one's going to be unanimous in favor of the "No way in hell".I just wished there was one that stated:"Not even if hell froze over--even if Russell was the last Free Agent DT left--f**k no."Or something like that. Quote
BengalByTheBay Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 Yeah, and we should take a look to see if Darryl Strawberry is available too -- I think he could back up at WR and handle bump-n-run coverage pretty well. Quote
BENGALTHEM Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 I say hell no as well, that guy is a complete f**k up. Trust me, anybody that listens to Cali radio stations knows this.But............... just to play devils advocate, a focused Russell is a good football player. Bengals need depth at DT badly. I say if Marvin Lewis has a sit down with him, lays down the law, and kinda of gets a feel for where his mind state is, if ..........Marvin OK'S it then and I can sit well with that decision ..........In Marvin we trust. Of course we sign him for the minimum. Quote

wookie Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 Gardner is too little reward for too much risk. The Bengals need to keep guys like him out of the organization. The fact alone that Gruden bounced him should tell you all you need to know. I voted no way in hell. Quote
BadLuck Posted July 14, 2004 Report Posted July 14, 2004 Our D-Line is MISERABLE and we've lost the last 2 big names we've tried to get. Russell isn't exactly a big name, but he's gotta be better than what we've got. Besides, we're in need of depth anyway. If he's cheap, we have no other choice. Quote
