kingwilly
I still doubt he'll fall that far, he has all the hallmarks of the 'chic' pick that's so far out it's in. I think the fact that the punch happened week 1 helps him. Story's played out and turned around. All the journalists are falling over themselves praising the kid, and I bet some team wants to think itself clever and takes him a fair amount earlier than the mocks predict. I still bet he doesn't last past mid-4th. At 240 Lbs guy was able put up a avg of 7.4 his Junior year,Earliest I'd wanna see him though is 3rd round Comp then again I am from Oregon so probably bias.[media]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zPjKLI9u8i4Not the highest quality but pretty easy to make the guy Running people over and breaking for big runs.Watching that video, I see quite a bit of Cedben in him. Maybe not the same top-end speed, though Blount has 20lbs on Cedric. I am not worried about his speed, I would be more worried about his ability to block.Good vision, good timing to the hole and enough lateral shiftyness, without losing speed, to get big gains. Also, his O-line was paving HUGE holes for him.I like him in r4 on. I also like Ben Tate from Auburn.[media]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NfBkonPBFGY
wpeldios
Which makes the deciding factor simply one of "what round" in this conversation. In this conversation and every other one as well, including past ones we've shared involving Chris Henry, who died of stupidity, or Frostee Rucker, who has never given the Bengals a hint of a problem. Hair, that cracker's got your name on it. Well, I've been known to enjoy myself a cracker from time to time, from the buttery goodness of a Ritz to the salty zest of a saltine. Just make sure the cracker isn't dick-shaped because I've promised to save all of those for Paul Daugherty. As in top speed, acceleration, or lateral movement? I've always thought RB top speed was overrated since they rarely run more than 10 yards at a crack. Take your pick I guess. Blount ran in the neighborhood of 4.7 and his 10 and 20 yard splits are comparable to John Conner, the Kentucky FB who just visited the Bengals.Hearing John Conner just visited is the high point of this thread for me. I would love him as a mid to late round pick/
HairOnFire
From several days ago. Enjoy. Source: Conner invited to Bengals' local prospect dayKentucky fullback completes Cowboys visit Aaron WilsonApril 01, 2010 Now that he has completed visits with the Dallas Cowboys and the Detroit Lions, University of Kentucky fullback John Conner has another meeting on his itinerary.According to an NFL source with knowledge of the situation, Conner has been invited to attend the Cincinnati Bengals' local prospects day.Conner, who rushed for 158 yards and two touchdowns last season, is the top-ranked fullback on most draft boards because of his size, speed and blocking skills. The 5-foot-11, 241-pounder ran the 40-yard dash in 4.64 seconds at the NFL scouting combine, also bench pressing 225 pounds 24 times and posting a 35-inch vertical leap.He has been projected anywhere from the middle rounds to the latter portion of the draft.
