Kazkal
Hue Jackson to interview with the RaidersPosted by Mike Florio on January 20, 2010 7:15 AM ETWith the status of the Raiders' coaching staff still in limbo, the organization continues to search for replacements.According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Raiders requested and received permission from the Ravens to interview quarterbacks coach Hue Jackson for an "unspecified position."If the "unspecified position" is head coach, the Ravens had no ability to block the request. If the "unspecified position" is anything less than that, the Ravens could have said "no."It's also possible that the Raiders are ostensibly interviewing Jackson for head coach while as a practical matter eyeballing him for offensive coordinator. (It's believed that the Raiders did that at least once before, with former Bucs defensive line coach Rod Marinelli.)With owner Al Davis still committed to quarterback JaMarcus Russell, the challenge is to find a coaching staff that can find his buttons (under, you know, all the blubber) and push them.Poor Hue would be cool to see him get a upgraded position but for Al Davis? His Contract still may expire in march if it does Mikey bring him back>_<
BlainThePain
Hopefully he goes, Al Davis fires the next coach at the end of next season, the new coach wants his own staff, and we pick Hue back up as a receivers coach.
