mgi
I just ran across this article on the net, and I was kind of wondering the same thing myself. Sure, Coles has had a rough year in Cincy, and I have defended him to my friends most of the year. Palmer did not see much action in preseason and they never got in rhythm. I wish they were by now, but Palmer is in rhythm with almost nobody (except for maybe Foschii, in which case you hope he makes the catch.)My hope is that Coles can come out in this game like Benson against the Bears. This can re-vamp our passing game for our Super Bowl run. To answer the question of why Coles has had little press about playing the Jets is the coaching and QB turnover in NY and his utter lack of production for the Bengals./>http://bleacherreport.com/articles/322226-laveranues-coles-why-nobody-is-talking-about-him-facing-his-former-team

WE HAVE TO WIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Best post I've read in a long while, and I wholeheartedly agree. Couldn't have said it better. Don't forget that Marvin hand-picked this opponent since before the start of the game last week, and has a lot to prove in his own right to get in the discussion in considering the best coaches in the NFL today. Norv over Marv for Coach of the Year is an ridiculous, from a talent-versus-record perspective.
dewaynesworld63
LC has hardly showed up on the NY radar this week in any capacity. It's a mistake, IMO, because either he or Caldwell will play a key role today. Chad's impact will be really limited today, regardless of what he or any delusional Bengal fans think. The Bengals should throw at Lito when the Jets don't roll coverage to his side. They will roll coverage to Lito's side once in a while to try and force Palmer to throw at Revis in a man-on-man situation. Scary...but true. He's not used to seeing Chad in man, so he'll probably throw that way often. I'm guessing it will be an entertaining battle if nothing else.As far as Coles goes... does he hate the Jets? I know he was mad that they cut Pennington at the time, but I was unaware of any bad blood between he and the franchise like existed between Benson and the Bears. I also remember a time in which he felt like the offense was using him as a decoy for Jerricho Cotchery, and then there was the time in which he revealed that he was molested as a child, and some of the NY media were insensitive to that revelation.I would DEFINITELY say that there's some bad blood there. LC was regarded as a team leader, and even a captain for a year or two. LC was mostly well-liked by the fan base too except for his inflated sense of financial value. He will DEFINITELY want to stick it to his old team, but no more so than any other player facing his former club in a big game.
