It's up to the Bengals to change perception

It's funny they aren't even ranked in the top 12. Rankings are meaningless but the whole season they stopped the run, and ran the ball. When Baltimore does it, it's called "Playoff Football". The entire world thinking the Bengals suck is definitely a benefit. All they have to do is win.

How the bengals did over the entire course of the season doesn't really have any bearing on how good of a team they are right now, at this moment. As of this moment, they seem to be a pretty mediocre football team that has barely been sqeaking by bad opponents. As of this moment, I am not sure the bengals are better than a middle of the pack team in the NFL. Fortunately, my opinion or the opinion of anyone else has no bearing on how they are going to perform on Saturday. That's up to them.

I do know that they have to turn it on if they want to beat a quality team.

Really besides the Raider loss, I don't think it was that bad. They lost to Minnesota on the road. Minn killed people in their dome. Then they went to SD and barely lost, beat the Chiefs after a crazy week of traveling and funerals and then got killed in a game that to them was meaningless.

This weeks game will be a huge indicator for this team.

Everything to play for and at home.

No excuses this week. No lack of sleep, no distractions, no one to blame or praise but themselves.

I dont know what we are going to see.

I do know that not many are going to pick the Bengals...and when that happens we pretty much win.

Maybe. But it's pretty disheartening to watch other mediocre teams put up 40 points on opponents with horrendous defenses like the browns, lions, and chiefs the week before we play them, and then watch our offense struggle to score one TD. How many points did the browns score against the lions and the chiefs right before we played them?

I thought that meant BIG trouble for us once we actually had to face a quality opponent, such as in a playoff scenario. I was assured all season that it didn't matter..that the only reason we didn't score more against bad defenses was because we didn't have to put up more points. Allthat mattered was that we got a W. It didn't matter how well our offense played, I was told.

Well, we wil see on Saturday. I hope I am wrong that our lackluster offense all season didn't mean anything.

Do you realize that the AFC North is the only division in the NFL to have 3 teams with winning records? The Bengals swept it dude. And sure we didn't BLOW OUT the Lions, Chiefs, or Browns. But they beat them. Who do you think feels better right now? The Steelers because they blew out the Broncos? The Broncos who blew out KC earlier in the year? The Bengals played consistent ball all year and will Sat.
