jjakq27
Seems like the Seahawks are Targeting Pete Carrol That one has a far better chance now that Pete's star has fallen a bit. He's lost plenty of position coaches and coordinators over the last couple of years, the progam is being investigated again, the Pac-10 is suddenly competitive again, and to put it mildly....Carrol's reputation suffered badly this season due to more reasons than I would care to list./>http://www.nfl.com/news/story?id=09000d5d815976d0&template=with-video-with-comments&confirm=true

BlainThePain
So wheres Norm chow at now? wonder if Pete brings him back in to the nfl.I thought they had a falling out. If I remember correctly, one of the main reasons Chow left was because Pete wasn't giving him any credit for USC's turnaround.

jjakq27
He didn't really do a whole lot for Vince Young's career in Tennessee when he was there.
Kazkal
Report: Carroll wants Chow, not BatesPosted by Gregg Rosenthal on January 10, 2010 10:27 AM ETWhen the Pete Carroll news first broke, he was expected to bring USC offensive coordinator Jeremy Bates with him to Seattle.Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports that Carroll actually prefers another former USC coach. Carroll is trying to lure Norm Chow to come with him to Seattle.Chow had an up and down run as offensive coordinator with the Titans before heading back to college and running the UCLA offense. The news about Chow could be a boost for the Bears. The team is expected to take a run at Bates. Biggs writes Bates is no lock to be Chicago's offensive coordinator, but his history with Cutler is a plus. The Bears have also reached out to Mike Martz. And yes, we're aware of the Associated Press report that says the Carroll deal to Seattle isn't done just yet. Nearly every other outlet, for now, is essentially reporting the opposite. Carroll is meeting with the Seahawks Sunday in an effort to finish a deal. Ickey44
Haslett is the new Redskins Defensive Coordinator.
HairOnFire
Says Jack staying with the Jaguars,That KAFFIN looks to be the couch of USC....If thats True Wow...usc is gonna be horrible. Perhaps not. Lane Kiffin is said to come closest to Carroll in regards to personality, and won't change any of the things Carroll had put in place. More importantly though, his father Monte is returning with him to coordinate the defense, Ed Ogeron(sp?) is returning to run the defensive line and oversee recruiting, and last I heard they're making a serious run at Norm Chow to run the offense. In other words, they're trying to get the old band back together.....minus the lead singer, of course.
HairOnFire
Haslett is the new Redskins Defensive Coordinator. Rather fitting since he was my first choice to replace Zimmer if things didn't work out. Funny though, I'm reading rumors of Washington morphing into a 3-4 scheme.....a move most think would be almost toxic in regards to Albert Haynesworth. Kazkal
Ya but it was already looking like Carroll was bailing ship since it looked like the rest of the Pac10 had Caught up to USC,So even if he's a Carroll clone doesn't look like it will helpFunny though, I'm reading rumors of Washington morphing into a 3-4 scheme.....a move most think would be almost toxic in regards to Albert Haynesworth.Ya should be interesting how it effects him,Though SHould help Orakpo who already had a good season.
