BENGALTHEM
Sometimes I wonder if Gardner lied to the Bengals. If his back is that bad, then he should have let Marvin Lewis know. Bengals already had a deal worked out with Gardner back in Feb..........and I am sure in the back of Gardner's head, he knew there may be a chance that he might not play pending a physical. Because we thought we were going to get Gardner, we didnt address DT in the draft, or during free agency.SUX MANE

The Bungles always rely on some has been or some never was to bail them out--and then those players never do. The Bungles' biggest glaring need right now is at the Defensive Tackle Position, so why not address this in the draft??? Then if Gardener pans out, you have 2 potential studs at the DT position. The biggest unkept secret in this season's NFL Offseason turns out to be a total flop--as always, only in Bungledom. kevnz
I don't think losing Gardener is a bad thing. We've got some young guys on the team that are gonna need snaps and having Gardener on board would have taken away from them...Would he have helped? Yeah...Maybe...He sure didn't help the Bronco's, and his career is full of more misses than hits....But the Bengals are probably not one DT from the Super Bowl so what's the big deal? The team will compete, the team will play hard and go all out for coach Lewis and in the nfl nowadays that can help make up for lack of talent at a position because every team has holes due to the salery cap.
