Aaron Maybin Signs

Recommended Posts

Seriously, I didnt want to start another thread, but c'mon the only 2 picks not to have signed an NFL contract are Crabtree (who's threatened to sit out) and Andre Smith......Mikey get off your a$$ and make the deal. Collins is getting beaten up in the pre-season, and Smith needs as many reps as he can get.

ARE WE NO BETTER THAN THE NINERS?

You pretty much know what you HAVE TO pay, why not get it done.....dumba$$

Crabtree has gone through the looking glass. Total organic, grade A, free range, douchebag. I hope he sits and re-enters the draft. Enjoy the 3rd/4th round, at best, signing bonus.

Seriously, who's going to take Crabtree in the first round next year? Not after sitting out a whole year, AND not being able to sign a contract the first time? Who's to say if someone takes him in the 2nd rd next year, he STILL wont hold out for 1st rd money?

If he reenters the draft next year I think he gets picked after the 4th round. Anything after that is somewhat of a throwaway pick anyhow.

On a side note, I hope the 49ers continue to stand their ground. This guys a total ass.

You've hit the nail on the head. If he doesn't sign a contract with the 49ers then that's exactly what every single team will be thinking. Some team will probably pick him because a 4th or later rnd pick is usually a bit of a gamble and even if the worst happens they won't be losing much if he again holds out. He doesn't know it yet but unless he signs this contract he might not be offered another one, certainly not one that sets him up in any meaningful way.

Then of course, there's the little inconvenience of going out onto the field and playing well against NFL corners. That's hardly a given, as great as he was against college DBs.
