xjjeep90
Just got the email. The Cincinnati Reds announced late Friday the acquisition of LHP Gabe White, a player to be named later and an undisclosed amount of cash from the New York Yankees in exchange for minor league LHP Charlie Manning. White, 32, returns for his third stint with the Reds (1997-2000, 2002-03). He last pitched for Cincinnati in 2003 and went 3-0 with a 3.93 ERA in 34 relief appearances before he was traded to the Yankees on July 31 for a player to be named later. THANK YOU MR. O'BRIEN!!!! Finally someone does something to stop the bleeding from the bullpen.

Kirkendall
White is NOT that good.. he's probably better than the lefties we already have, but he's only had one season of an ERA below 4.. that's not good for a short reliever..In 24 games this season he has an 8.27 ERA. This trade didn't make us better.. it kept us even.
