derekshank
My girlfriend likes the MTV show Bully Beatdown. She wanted me to watch a show since I'm a big UFC fan, and the episode I saw happened to feature former Bengal Michael Westbrook (He played for the Bengals in '02) beating the hell out of someone. The show is just ok, and seems staged to a certain extent, but the beating the guy received from Westbrook looked pretty damn real. Dude's a beast. I didn't know he was a pro MMA fighter.Anyway... we're at a slow point in the offseason, so if you want to watch a former Bengal beat the s**t out of what appears to be a prick, click the link. HairOnFire
Michael Westbrook? I'm suddenly flooded with fuzzy memories of the first game played at PBS. With my mind's eye I see the newly signed FA Westbrook dropping a perfectly thrown TD pass in the corner of the endzone. And then....the horror really begins. Neil O'Donnell responds by tossing the most famous pass ever thrown by a QB using his nonthrowing arm. Interception, of course. In fact, an interception returned for a TD. The Browns romp. All things considered, an absolutely crushing day for anyone who loves the stripes. Followed by you know who uttering a folksy recap...."We laid an egg." And it all starts with Westbrook dropping a pass that softly struck him in both hands before falling not so harmlessly to the ground. Not that I'm bitter, mind you. BengalByTheBay
I suppose it's fitting that Westbrook is doing some kind of MMA thing. After all, isn't he most remembered for going kung fu on his own teammate, Stephen Davis, during a Redskins practice that was caught on video? He sounds like a very dangerous person (likely with a severe personality disorder) whether you're on the same team or not. Perfect for MMA/ultimate fighting. Yup, that's our boy.....although I've always considered him to be a Redskin bust, not one of ours. After signing with the Bengals the local media gushed about Westbrook's ninja skills and trumpeted the 1000 yard season he had once produced for the Skins, but all of the tough talk proved to be bluster when Westbrook demonstrated how easily he could be beat up by a perfectly thrown football. Shades of Chad the Boxer, ehh?

Or am I thinking about another most famous pass ever thrown by a QB using his nonthrowing arm? I remember notoriously a play where our QB threw an int for a TD with about 15 seconds left before halftime. Could have sworn it was Frerotte. And smokey, too. Regardless, I stand corrected.
Ickey44
I think Akili was the QB for the first game at PBS in 2000. Westbrook was on the team in 2002. Regardless, he sucked that whole year except for the one game against the Texans where he had over 100 yards and 2 TD's.
