Whur CHad At?
Signed a 3 year $20 Million deal per NFLN.Paving the way for Sanchez?
ArmyBengal
Good for Holt... I'm really suprised the bears didn't make a bigger play for his services in order to give their WR corps some help and free up their draft.
Kazkal
Signed a 3 year $20 Million deal per NFLN.Paving the way for Sanchez?Signing a 32 year old WR ....really doesn't sound like paving way for sanchez they very well could still draft WR to pair with holt that way they have one the best WR's in the nfl for a mentor

But they are more of tightwads than we are, or by we I mean The Brown family.
ArmyBengal
Yep, the Bears almost HAVE to draft a WR and very little, if any, veteran leadership exists there to bring them up on the WR corps.

ArmyBengal
They got Devin Hester! You mean the unproven #2 (possibly) WR on the roster ?? Oh yeah, forgot about him...
HairOnFire
FWIW, I think Tory Holt is closer to being done than Chad Johnson.
ArmyBengal
FWIW, I think Tory Holt is closer to being done than Chad Johnson.I agree with that thought as well, but if I were a team that had little to no veteran leadership at the WR position, Holt would be a very good pick up for nothing else than mentorship and how to be a solid leader for the youngsters. Chad will never, ever, be looked upon to be a leader and is certainly NOT the kind of guy you really want providing an example for the young receivers on a team and one of the biggest reasons I want his crying little b*tch ass gone. No argument. But one of the reasons I refuse to embrace the idea of trading Chad for peanuts, or a granola bar, is due to my belief there's nothing seriously wrong with his body below the neck. That's not true of Holt. His injuries are said to be the type that steadily erodes under the best conditions, and under the worst case scenario could end his career in a heartbeat. All things considered I'm not very suprised to see the Jags step up and sign Holt, and I say that not because of Holt himself but due to the way the entire WR corp of the Jags now finds itself fighting the legal system.
