I really like Jeremiah Johnson and I remember Marvin mentioning him as a standout at the Senior Bowl. Not that it means anything, but Sutton and Lebron James are best friends. He might go undrafted after running some slow 40's. Speaking of smaller RB's, Charlie Casserly said Javon Ringer will be go "from the 4th round" or later, in a segment on NFL Network earlier this week. He broke his leg in '06, which caused him to lose some speed and has been in and out of games due to ankle, hamstring and minor knee injuries. The injuries were one of the reasons he was never able to beat our Smith or Little earlier to be the starter, after converting from CB. He has a ton of talent and is really good in the passing game, as you mentioned. That said, he's probably along the lines of Dorsey and JJ Johnson and I'm not sure he's as fast now as either player. Sutton could be the Steve Slaton of this year's draft. A speed/quickness guy who's stock drops some after running some slow 40's, but turns out to be as good as advertised. HAPPYJAQ
Didn't watch the YouTubes before but Sutton is amazing! He has some impressive power and runs much bigger than 211 pounds. His tremendous balance, vision, hands and acceleration remind me of a slightly smaller DeAngelo Williams. He'd be a real nice 4th or 5th round pick and a perfect complement to Ced. I didn't realize how deep this draft is at RB. It's pretty amazing how many of these guys are around 5'10'' and 200 pounds, but maybe we don't need a "big back". 'Here's a listing of some of the top prospects available. icehole3
Thats what Im saying too, Benson is Greene, Jennings, etc, the big power back, we need the jitterbug, I like James Johnson and Dorsey true speed guys, but the cat who gave the Steelers fits is the screen catching jitterbug who goes stealth and then turns up 10-15 yards down field, I want that guy and on punts and kickoffs everyone else is in slow mo and he's zipping thru the D. Then I looked at my draft mags and there's like a ton of these lttle power guys sitting there in the 7th and Im thinking they gotta try one of these guys, Sutton is like muscle built pinball that brokes tackle after tackle in the Big Ten and Im watching Dixon (I get the injuries) in the redzone he's dangerous.
