Ickey44 Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 I think he's pissed because people say Coles is going to have a better year than he is. With Carson coming back healthy, it wouldn't suprise me.The only way it won't surprise me is if the Bengals do the right thing and get smart on the O-line with the draft. Shoring that up, and bulking up the FB position, is a necessity for the Coles signing to pan out. If they screw that up, Coles can't outperform TJ here. Just MHO.Couldn't have said it better myself. Bearcat1975 Posted March 11, 2009 Report Posted March 11, 2009 Not saying that, just that if Hasselback does not return to form TJ will complain loudly to anyone that will listen that if they would just get the ball to him more everything would be OK. That is how he reacts to adversity. Even so, I have always been a big TJ fan, but I was just as leary of signing an aging TJ as I am of an aging Coles.Agreed. The only thing I would add is that "if only they would get me the ball more we would win" is a pretty common sentiment among NFL WR's so TJ isn't unusual for feeling this way. He may even be right. HoTbOy Posted March 13, 2009 Report Posted March 13, 2009 How can he feel that he was not used right when he has led the league in total catches the last 3-4 years...Maybe he feels he should have been allowed to go downfield more... Quote
ArmyBengal Posted March 14, 2009 Report Posted March 14, 2009 He definitely feels he should have been able to get some of those deep routes, but the Bengals just didn't view it that way.I do like the recent article on the official site that still has him mentoring some of our young WR's and giving out some praise.
