kentjett
What is going on w/ him. I remember reading an article after the bengals cut him the second time and his dad said the Bengals had to do it to save money on the cap. He also said that Kenny planned on being back w/ the Bengals ASAP. I tried to find some info on him but I've had no luck. I was just wondering if anybody knew anything. walzav29
His knee is oatmeal. I guess that's it for him. I know the Bengals released him. No one is interested.

No one is interested. He's done, probably selling meat with Ickey somewhere. I don't fault the Bengals at all for that one $h1t happens, the next running back we draft people are going to crossing their fingers everytime that person runs the ball in preseason. I want to know what we are paying Chris Perry because if someone would have bet me I would have bet that he would be one of the first people cut, Marvin showed how much confidence that he had in him at the end of the season when he was warming up the bench. A lot of people tear their ACL's and they come back from it.
bengalboomer7
I got a funny story for ya bout Ickey. I'm a golf pro in Cincy and Ickey routinely comes to play our course. What's funny is, the whole time he's playing, he'll leave that meat truck running in the parking lot the whole time to keep the meat frozen. It takes anywhere from 4 to 5 hours to play, so that's a long time to leave a vehicle runnin. He'll even come in and ask us to make sure no one turns it offAnd Ickey is HUGE. I mean short offensive lineman, HUGE.
walzav29
I heard there was an issue with scar tissue. Hey! Is Ickey a nice guy?
Esiason#7
I heard there was an issue with scar tissue. Hey! Is Ickey a nice guy?I met Ickey Woods during the 2007 season right before the Bengals-Titans game. He was hanging out at one of the concession stands. I asked him if I could get a picture with him and he obliged, however he did charge me $5. The money was going to his youth football team. Overall he was very nice. After we took the picture Ickey said "Enjoy the game fellas." I replied "Well, that really depends on the Bengals doesn't it?" Ickey laughed and said "I got a good feeling today." Ickey was right. The Bengals beat the Titans 35-6 with Chad Johnson catching three TDs, and Carson played one of the best games of his career. Ickey Woods was a HUGE man let me tell you, but he really couldn't walk around all that well. I though it was funny that he was just hanging out at the concession stand, but then I watched a program on the NFL network about him and apparently he hangs out there before every Bengals home game. bengalboomer7
He seems to be a great guy as far as I can tell. Never had any issue with the man. Also met Shayne Graham(bigger than you think) Tom jackson(nice as hell, always smiling) and even once told off Johnny Bench (GIANT a**h***)

Bearcat1975
wow I always thought Ickey "selling meat out of a truck" was just a cliche. You mean he actually sells meat out of a truck?Hmm, I'll be darned.
HAPPYJAQ
It was rumored that Kenny Irons didn't rehab as much or as hard as he should and the team had enough of that and let him go. The Bengals should never schedule another pre-season game in Detroit EVER and surely not in years they draft running backs high. Speaking of drafting running backs "high", I always wondered how much that Hooters home video had with him being released. It seems like it was the day after that video was posted on YouTube, that he was cut.
Clackwoods
I wrote Kenny Irons official webpage on MySpace, it looks pretty legit anyways. It took him or whoever it is on the page a couple days to answer, but here is the conversation:ME:Where the hell is Kenny Irons? Did he retire from football and if not when is he signing with the Bengals again!Kenny Irons:hey wa sup and yeah ill be back on the field big homie im busting my ass offProbably bogus, but I don't know
ArmyBengal
Way to go "big homie" !!!Irons is an afterthought at this point. Another high pick not contributing anything to the organization. The Bengals seem to have a knack at getting either very little or NOTHING out of their high draft picks. It's really not hard to figure out why the organization has had such difficult times rebuilding this team.

Their have been a lot of RB's that tore their ACL and came back to play~I recall there being multiple complications with his post surgery rehab. Scar tissue, and perhaps some poor work ethic. Besides... given that his entire game was predicated on quickness, this injury was far more devastating to him than to most players.
HAPPYJAQ
Another poor 2nd round pick, although he was injured. Having Ryan Khalil (picked 10 picks after Irons in '07), would be good nice these days. How about Jay Alford, whom the Giants picked at #81 in the 3rd round. The Bengals would've had the 80th pick that year, had they not took a flyer on Ahmad Brooks. The curse of Odell Thurman will forever live in Bengals infamy.Side Note: I won't even mention how Ethan Kilmer was picked 6 slots ahead of Courtland Finnegan. Tom Brady was a luxury pick the Patriots thought could possibly develop into a decent backup for Drew Bledsoe, at the time he was drafted. As we all know, his career development has been unprecedented, compared to where he was drafted in the final round.

As we all know, his career development has been unprecedented, compared to where he was drafted in the final round. We had a great draft last year, and we need a few more like that to become contenders. I think our strategy of building through the draft can be successful, we just have had bad luck and made poor decisions in the past. You look at teams that are successful they have three things. A franchise Quarterback, a good coach, and good draft history. We have a good coach, and we defiantly have a Franchise QB, we just need to start drafting well.
