ArmyBengal Posted July 8, 2008 Report Posted July 8, 2008 http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/columns/stor...;page=rumblingsAs the article suggests, the Reds would have to get a TON in return, but it's not completely unthinkable at this point. I can't say as I would be particularly happy with that move, as it would crush our starting lineup. Then again, Harang gets NO run support...WHODEY !!! Quote
kevinc1129 Posted July 8, 2008 Report Posted July 8, 2008 I would hate to see Harang go too, and think (hope?) it would take someone gutting their farm system to get him.Funny, no mention of Phillips on that untouchable list either. Quote
redsbengalsbucks Posted July 9, 2008 Report Posted July 9, 2008 I dont know why anyone would want him after what he has "not" accomplished this season. If he was at .500 the Reds would be a contender. He is supposed to be the ACE on the staff, if your team scores 1 or 2 runs for you, as an ace it is your job to keep the other team at 0 or 1 and win. The one year in recent memory that the Reds have solid 2,3 and 4 SP's and Harangatang let's his end of the deal fall down. Quote
agreen_112 Posted July 10, 2008 Report Posted July 10, 2008 I've really never liked Harang... I honestly don't think he's all that great. It wouldn't bother me to see a trade involving Harang. Quote
semiotter Posted July 18, 2008 Report Posted July 18, 2008 This is no doubt the worst year Aaron has had as a RED and he still got something left in the tank. So I would really hate to lose him myself... Quote
ArmyBengal Posted July 20, 2008 Author Report Posted July 20, 2008 Once again, I would hate to see him go, but he has to fix whatever the problem is. For any thought remaining in regards to the Reds making a run, Harang has to be better than average the second half of the season...WHODEY !!! Quote

Arroyo has done better recently, but this team needs Harang to be better than what he has been if they are going to contend. Harang is the ace and he needs to pitch like it. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted July 22, 2008 Author Report Posted July 22, 2008 Well, Homer had a pretty good outing again tonight and had the lead when he left in the 6th. They blew the lead and then had bases loaded with no outs and couldn't get two runs to tie it up, losing 6-4...Go figure, can't get a hit...WHODEY !!! Quote
