DC_Bengals_Fan Posted April 26, 2008 Report Posted April 26, 2008 Sometimes I think Mike Brown takes a nap btw his picks. The bengals never have any movement or even talk about trading up or talking to other teams. That might require a competent GM.
ArmyBengal Posted April 26, 2008 Author Report Posted April 26, 2008 If they do end up having Sweed sitting there with a few other DT's of equal value, I would love to see them take Sweed and then trade back into the 2nd and take the best available DT. Wait a minute, did I just say trade back into the 2nd ?? Disregard, that would mean they were being proactive in the draft...WHODEY !!!
TecmoFever Posted April 26, 2008 Report Posted April 26, 2008 Malcolm Kelly would be my guess if still available.I like Kelly, but you need someone to stretch the field...and a guy who doesn't make excuses when he sucks it up.I wonder what it would be like to have a WR that's semi-normal.
DelhiBengal Posted April 26, 2008 Report Posted April 26, 2008 I wasn't so much saying that's what I'd do...just what I think they'll do.
TecmoFever Posted April 26, 2008 Report Posted April 26, 2008 If Trevor Laws gets past the Broncos, we have a chance...although the Lions may be looking to replace Rogers.
HairOnFire Posted April 26, 2008 Report Posted April 26, 2008 You know I love me some Tevor Laws, but I'm also looking at some of the players who have slipped out of the 1st round and I'm starting to think BPA. Malcolm Kelly, Limas Sweed, or even Tyrell Johnson or Anthony Collins.
kingwilly Posted April 26, 2008 Report Posted April 26, 2008 You know I love me some Tevor Laws, but I'm also looking at some of the players who have slipped out of the 1st round and I'm starting to think BPA. Malcolm Kelly, Limas Sweed, or even Tyrell Johnson or Anthony Collins.add Groves, Campbell, Connor...mucho slippage to sort through.
TecmoFever Posted April 26, 2008 Report Posted April 26, 2008 James Hardy just got taken. I think the Bengals were high on him.
sparky151 Posted April 26, 2008 Report Posted April 26, 2008 I wouldn't cry if we took Laws or Sims but I'd probably prefer to take a good WR if one is there. Sweed would be a good pick. We could get Red Bryant or Atyba Rubin in the 3rd round.
CarsonDaMan Posted April 26, 2008 Report Posted April 26, 2008 I'm pulling for DeSean Jackson here. He'd be big time dangerous out of the slot and would be the dynamic punt returner this team has lacked for years. I'd love to see a linemen as well but to me Jackson is too big of a talent to pass up here.
DDOGG Posted April 26, 2008 Report Posted April 26, 2008 So do we want Sims, or a decent wide receiver out there?
TecmoFever Posted April 26, 2008 Report Posted April 26, 2008 At this point there are a lot of guys that look attractive based on our needs.DO NOT TAKE A RB, DO NOT TAKE A RB!!!!
DDOGG Posted April 26, 2008 Report Posted April 26, 2008 It will probably turn out that we will draft a RB! I think we need new people to run our draft picking situations.
ArmyBengal Posted April 26, 2008 Author Report Posted April 26, 2008 Kenny Phillips is still available as well, but I don't see that one either...WHODEY !!!
mgilgris Posted April 26, 2008 Report Posted April 26, 2008 Did I hear correctly that Jason Taylor got traded?
ChadJohnson-85 Posted April 26, 2008 Report Posted April 26, 2008 I have a feeling that the Eagles or Bears will take D.Jackson, if not we better not pass up on him!
rishipatel Posted April 26, 2008 Report Posted April 26, 2008 With players dropping, there are just too many better players than the next best DT's. I would love to see them take Sweed. But some of the defensive guys have to be considered also. Groves, Connors, Campbell, among others. The question is what is likely to be left without as much of a drop off when we pick in the 3rd? Regardless, we should be able to get a VERY good player with this pick. I can't believe some of the picks by other teams so far. If I was a Jets fan I'd be pissed. Why is the hell would you move back up into the 1st and take a player that would have been there at your own 2nd round pick anyway in the TE Keller?
ChadJohnson-85 Posted April 26, 2008 Report Posted April 26, 2008 Kenny Phillips is still available as well, but I don't see that one either...WHODEY !!!Nah, he was drafted last round of the first round by the Giants.
Kazkal Posted April 26, 2008 Report Posted April 26, 2008 Laws is this years Ko SImpson for me.....if we pass him and hes on the board....omg......
rishipatel Posted April 26, 2008 Report Posted April 26, 2008 Kenny Phillips is still available as well, but I don't see that one either...WHODEY !!!He was taken in the 1st by the Giants.
ArmyBengal Posted April 26, 2008 Author Report Posted April 26, 2008 My bad missed that one...WHODEY !!!
TecmoFever Posted April 26, 2008 Report Posted April 26, 2008 Here's hoping that Da Bears and the Lions take Brohm and Henne. Then we have all kinds of guys to choose from.
kingwilly Posted April 26, 2008 Report Posted April 26, 2008 Laws is this years Ko SImpson for me.....if we pass him and hes on the board....omg.........could be...Laws is very good...but can we pass on a Sweed when WR is such a mess???
