combatbengal
Well, if you look at it, we the fans of gotten what we've requested so far. We wanted to know about Thurmans reinstatement before the draft, and now we know. We wanted to know what DP future held and now we know he'll retire. Good luck David! We got rid of Henry and his arrest record. Now we can focus on improving our weakness. Marvin basically told Chad to sit out, so he's really not worried about that situations. So, let's go get that or those impact players and turn this team around. We're playoff bound!

Draft fever has set in.Why would the Bengals tell Chad to sit out and then say they won't trade for him? Sitting out means the Bengals get ZERO, squat, nilich for the bad boy. Trading him means just the opposite.I think the poker table has been setup, the chairs and hors doeuvres are laid out and now lets find out who can meet the house minimum of a 1st & 3rd. Oldcat
If Chad actually tries to sit out, his value to a new team plummets like a stone, and the Bengals' rights to himextend another year. If he plays, and poorly, the same thing happens except he's a year closer to 2011. If hepisses off Marvin, and the coordinators, and Carson, he won't get the ball and his stats go down, which reduces histrade value. This looks like a way to make Chad play like its a contract year, all out. Win, win in that situation. The only place we lose is on the field, but I'm not sure how much it hurts us since the only plays Chad participated in were the ones he in which he got the ball. Or he can show up week 10 and get credit for a full year of service. Only way to get the power out of his hands is to get him out of town. Ickey44
They don't have to play him if he shows, he can sit on the bench. He went through the motions all last year, they should have benched him then. If they trade him, he used the power in his hand and smacked us with it. That's what he wants. TecmoFever
It's a good thing this thread is entitled "Draft Talk" since the whole thing revolves around Ocho Stinco.
