ntpou
How many guys will play without the deal like he is other would sit out all mini camp and be a pain in the ass. I know this will be his 1st full year at RB & we want to make sure he is the real deal for all 16 games. But if J.Anderson is smart enought to pick C.Perry he ought to know by now if Rudi is for real. I think we are tasking advantage of him being a TOTAL TEAM PLAYER. skyline
it's a business. i think that's the bottom line...they're going to have to give perry a decent contract, and if he manages to outplay rudi, what sense does it make to have two starting quality rb's with two decent-sized contracts?i think 1 of the 2 will be gone after this year... ntpou
Every game that he plays his $ is going up. Sign him now & save the $ later. What is his price at 1200 - 1400 yards 10 TD. alot more.
jjakq27
I just read the article on Bengals.com about Rudi and his contract. Wow, what a refreshing thing to read. Rather than "hanging with his peeps", Rudi will be here trying to make this team better. Here's a guy who has earned it and appreciates what he has because he's been last on the depth chart. I wish more of them were like that.
ntpou
Based on what everyone is saying I think it comes down to :Will Rudi be a one year wonder - not signing him now is a great ideaWill Rudi get over a 1000 yards & 10 TD - Now we are going to have to pay him more or lose him.How about a poll
TecmoFever
You're right--it is a business. But how often in the business do you find such a team guy (with skill) that is a fan favorite? The drafting of Perry has put the Bengals in a situation where they're not going to be able to make everybody happy...but they're not going to be left hanging without a bell-cow RB. I hate that term--"bell-cow".
Kirkendall
I think making everyone happy is a by-product of fielding a competitive and winning team whether it's Rudi or Perry.
