cincyhokie Posted February 24, 2008 Report Posted February 24, 2008 Do Browns fans really think they are going to get a team to give them a 1st and 3rd round pick for Derrick Anderson? I find it very hard to believe that a team would sign him and give up their draft picks. In fact, I don't see any interest from other teams regarding his services. DA is a product of a much improved OL, a cake schedule, and a good receiving corps.Good luck getting back into the first round Browns...and it looks like you're stuck with another QB controversy for the upcoming year. Pidge Posted February 25, 2008 Report Posted February 25, 2008 Just strange to see a topic not started by CBF on the first page. Kudos cincyhokie! Quote
DesperateDerelict Posted February 25, 2008 Report Posted February 25, 2008 Do Browns fans really think they are going to get a team to give them a 1st and 3rd round pick for Derrick Anderson?Al Davis? With a $31,000,000 man in Jamarcus? Whatever you're smokin', Head-less, you need to share it with the rest of the forum (& give alot to Al Davis). Quote
Horsemen Posted February 25, 2008 Report Posted February 25, 2008 With a $31,000,000 man in Jamarcus? You're acting as if A: That means anything to Davis and B: He DOESN'T make dumb*** moves. He does. It would not be suprising in the least if he payed his boy Jamarcus 31 mil then went out and bought another QB for no reason. Quote
DC_Bengals_Fan Posted February 25, 2008 Report Posted February 25, 2008 Who would pay Anderson? Brian Billick would in a second if he had a job. Gruden has a record of that sort of thing, but they're not making a move this year. Most other teams either have QBs or aren't giving away a high first. If you're talking about a team signing him over the 1st and a 3rd tender, we'd have to be talking about a team whose picks aren't too high, but that needs a QB bad, and (by definition) owns their own pick. Best candidate is the Bears at 14, possibly the Iggles at 19 if they get panicked about Donovan.Edit: Nevermind the Iggles, forgot about Kolb. Basically, it's the Bears or nothing, and I'd lean heavily toward "nothing". The Bears are dumb enough to believe that the QB cesspool that is Grossman, Orton, and Griese has a chance. Quote
cincyhokie Posted February 25, 2008 Author Report Posted February 25, 2008 When I watch Anderson play, I think of Kelly Holcomb. And that makes me smile. Quote
