Spor_tees
In Hobson's latest mailbag, he says,Having Jackson back in the mix would be huge because he has such a fine rapport with these receivers and quarterback. But given that he's been an NFL coordinator for a year and that he's been interviewed by at least one other club for that position, the question is if he'd come back here to coach a position without a title. Certainly if no one on the offensive staff leaves there won't be a move.Yet the fact the Bengals asked for permission to talk to him even though they don't have a slot open shows how much they value him. What I don't understand is why the Bengals would ask permission to talk to a coach they don't have an opening for. I think there is something else that is going to happen. The Bengals must be certain that Zampese is going to be leaving or they are thinking about creating another coaching position just for him. Something is just not right about the situation. On another note, someone made a joke in another thread about Turk Schonert who just got promoted to offensive coordinator for the Bills. Maybe they're pulling a Jerry Jones and offering the OC spot at a later date, heir apparent to Brat, that could explain why Zam wants out (although he has been looking for a step up for a while). Or maybe the are just covering all bases, if Zam gets the OC in St. Louis and the only other candidate is Hue then we still get to keep one of the two. Hue may not like the prospect of a step back and wants to look around. Two words - Grassy Knoll. LOLTo be honest I'm more surprised by the LB situation, maybe Donnie could coach the O??
