kurgan74 Posted December 31, 2007 Report Posted December 31, 2007 If the possible coaching staff shakeup does happen, and Brian Billick is fired by the Ravens, wouldyou like to see Marvin offer him the offensive coordinator's job. I know the Ravens have been terrible offensively, but Billick was the offensive coordinator of the 1999 Vikings who put up the 2nd most points in NFL history.I believe it is possible as Marvin and Billick have a good relationship from their time in Baltimore. Your thoughts? Quote
cincyhokie Posted December 31, 2007 Report Posted December 31, 2007 I think Billick would get picked up by the Falcons or another rebuilding team before he took a coordinator job. He's got experience and a Superbowl title on his resume. Add all that with a huge ego and I doubt he'll take a coordinator job right away. Quote

But at the same time, I'm not so sure Marvin's ego would allow him to have someone on the team with a better pedigree than his own. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted December 31, 2007 Report Posted December 31, 2007 I was thinking about Martz as well and then read he's basically getting fired for not being able to do something we desperately need...Develop a running game !!!WHODEY !!! Quote

bengalboomer7 Posted December 31, 2007 Report Posted December 31, 2007 Billick has been riding his "genius" bestowed upon him by Chris carter and randy Moss for long enough. Anyone that's had to do with the Ravens offense for the last 5+years I'll pass on. Martz too.And when you bring up names like these it makes me wanna stay with the devil I know Quote
DC_Bengals_Fan Posted December 31, 2007 Report Posted December 31, 2007 Billick has been riding his "genius" bestowed upon him by Chris carter and randy Moss for long enough.Even longer than Marvin's been riding the "genius" bestowed by Ray Lewis, Tony Siragusa, Michael McCrary, Sam Adams, Chris McAlister, and Jamie Sharper.Oh, and don't forget the surprisingly good Robert Smith on that Vikings team. kurgan74 Posted January 1, 2008 Author Report Posted January 1, 2008 I am a fan of Marvin. Believe me I wish the Bengals could have a defense half as good as the 2000 Ravens. It isamazing to see the talent that Marvin had at Baltimore. I wonder if Marvin will personally take over teh D onceChuck B. is released. Quote
kentjett Posted January 1, 2008 Report Posted January 1, 2008 Hue Jackson or Zampese. We shouldn't look any farther. Quote
