Btrester151
I just read on a message board that Cincy is trying to trade PDub and a third round pick next year to green bay for Mike McKinsey(the 6th year db) Like I said its prolly not true, but who knowsJust thought I would pass along... :player:
AGrizzlyBaer
uh i dont.... he only has one year left on his contract so they would only get pw for a run this year btw did they have anysource to back this up, otherwise it could be just some guys idea
The Brew Man
I hope not, I really like PDub, and he had a great year last year. IF they do something like this it means Squirrel Boy is really ready to step up....
BENGALTHEM
I hope they don't make that trade, P-Dub is finally coming into his own. And I hope there is some way that we can re-sign him.
chrishcovga
How many starters do we need..?? It's a bad trade even if it were true. Giving up Warrick for Mckenzie is a little lopsided in Green Bay favor if you ask me, then add on a 3rd rounder?? nah - not a good idea.Plus we have O'Neal,James as the starters. Probably Ratliff as the nickelback. Roberts and Myles as backups. We're pretty set at safety, Beckett,Herring, and Madieu Williams,(who could also play the nickelspot) means we should be pretty set. princeton
it would have been a great move to make before the draft. Then we could have drafted a Devery Henderson instead of Keiwan Ratliff. We also had extra picks to burn this year, not next year.
Tiger Stripes
yea very doubtful anything like that will happen and im willin to bet that this is warricks year! :player:
Twurksum10
This isnt the NBA you dont just randomly trade players, trades like this dont happen in the NFL. And I really dont think anyone is realizing the real abilities of Warrick he is a better player than McKenzie(outside of this message board that is)
Chad Johnson
This is warrick's year???not likely with CJ breaking records! :player:
Black'n'Orange
I love Warrick, but, I think we may have already seen the best of PW......at least with this team
turningpoint
Idk man people know abotu chad johnson now. A lot mroe attention will be paid to CJ. I think this is Peter Warricks year.
halp
still have problems with pw. still not sure he can run his patterns properly, as he admitted last spring. maybe w/ dillon gone it'll help his attitude.
Jungle_Fever
Interesting how these rumors get started. Remember the Dillon going to New England a couple of days before it happened? I can still see how ML would be uncomfortable at CB. What if James or Deltha got hurt? We would be in a world of hurt. PW is as much expendable as any other player we have especially with the return skills of Patrick Johnson. Not sure how the cap space would trade out and the value seems about right. I could see something like this happening.
Twurksum10
Bruce and Holt tore it up together. What in the world is stopping PW and CJ from doing it?? absolutly nothing, Warrick is starting to relish the whole posession reciever stuff, and he will be one of the leagues best next year. Chad helps take off pressure too. And I really think all of you who suggest we get rid of him havent been fans since his rookie year. Anyone remember when two rookies named Dugans and Warrick started for us. Well for those reasons and others, anyone who suggests Warrick and Johnson isnt a top 3 reciever tandem and doesnt want too keep Warrick, they have no since of Bengal history and apparently want to see Carson get dropped on his ass every series cause they triple cover chad, and Kelly is still trying to become a starter. If PW is exspendable then hell lets trade Palmer, and Rudi, and CJ right! Kitna, Washington, Mann, and Perry can start and we can have 7 starting CB's!!!!!! Hold up there fella.I would be shocked to see P-dub on this team after his contract expires, so why not get something for him, not especially fond of this trade, but it's gonna cost to keep him, especially since I do expect him to have an even better than last with Chad taking a lot of the coverage, and Palmer needing someone like P-dub to throw it to. But, if we can get a probowl corner (and I mean a true probowl corner) then why not? a 3rd round pick too? I don't think so, maybe if the Pack threw in their 3rd and McKenzie for P-dub I'd consider it.
JPW
I saw this same Rumor on the ESPN boards last night. It was on the Bengal's board and had a Link to the Packer's board, which had a Link to another board, which had NO Source for the Rumor whatsoever. There wasn't even a guy saying that he had inside knowledge, like the guy who posted on the CD trade. As for Warrick I am for keeping him.He came on strong at the end of last year as a posession receiver.I think his best footbal (as a Bengal) is still a head of him.Would love to have McKinsey. Would give maybe next years 2 round pick or something. But it seems like if they were going to do a trade that it would have happened before this years draft.
