1 point: If Chad Johnson isn't working hard and studying the playbook, NO WAY can he lead the league in receiving. He wouldn't even be in the NFL.

(I only listened to half but.....) ;-) My point is the same is in another thread, this football team's defense and special teams are not making plays and following assignments. Youth, injury, poor free agent acquistions... those have much more to do with losing than a Probowl wide receiver.

Not surprising. He's just another in a long line of national sports writers to rip the Bengals.

But that would involve media people actually knowing the game in depth, doing their homework, and sounding intelligent. It's much easier to do it their way.

We all ought to know by now that the media is as challenged with telling something true as politicians, they just can't do it. Doubly so for sports media.

Agreed. I listen to him to kill time on the way into work each morning. I don't take him at all seriously. He's to actual sports discussion what Letterman or Leno are to real political discussion.

Yep - you hit the nail on the head. Half the time he doesn't even talk about sports - he'll talk about his favorite food, pets, Paris Hilton, etc.
