BZoner
God "L" has no heart, and no balls. This is a cheap political stunt to convince the brain dead media that he is not two faced in his punishment of Bill "20th Century Fox" Belichick, i.e. was not overly lenient in comparison with his bankrupting NFL Players.Go F**k yourself Mr. God "L"Here endeth the rant
The PatternMaster
Did Allen's suspension get reduced to 2 weeks, and did the second week just end yesterday. So really his suspension was over, Goodell didn't lift anything.Out of the 5 suspensions that were "lifted", 2 are not in the NFL, one is on the IR, and the other 2 only had two weeks and surprise surprise 2 weeks are up. Boy that commish is on top of things.
combatbengal
Goodell lifted the suspensions of five players: Kansas City defensive end Jared Allen, Carolina guard Jeremy Bridges, Tennesse linebacker Robert Reynolds, former San Francisco wide receiver Antonio Bryant and former Cincinnati linebacker A.J. Nicholson. To bad Thurman wasn't one of them. We can really use him about now.
CarsonCity
Has Goodell given a reason why he lifted these suspensions?
kenyon1977
This is just him making the rules up as he goes. What's the point of telling teams they better take care of their player issues then lifting the suspensions after some of the players are released? Would the Bengals have gotten rid of Nicholson if they had not been warned prior to the incident by Goodell? That's BS if they were not going to. Yup, it was just an act of making official what had already been determined. Or if you prefer, the rubber stamp falling shortly after the hammer. As for the idea of Goodell suddenly showing some heart in response to the overwhelmingly negative response to the leniency shown to Belichick....Roger openly mocked the idea of reducing Wade Wilson's suspension.
