ArmyBengal
Minus the fact someone could have gotten hurt, is anyone else happy to see Madieu or anyone for that matter on the defense get fired up enough to go at Chad ?? I hope that same anger translates onto the field this season. Anger you say ?? YES ANGER !!! I want to see a defense full of hate and anger. Pissed off and ready to whip the sh*t out of anyone they go up against !!! Is that to much to ask ?? Oh yeah, good read on camp for those of us unable to make the trip. How far is Georgetown from Afghanistan anyway ?? Later...WHODEY !!!
Green 66
I think all the Safeties looked really intense when going for the ball on Monday night. Particularly Madieu and Jackson, who laid a couple hits on the recievers as well as talking up their game to the fans. Also i would be pissed off too if i had to spend several weeks at camp listening to Chris Henry scream like a banshee on kick off returns during special teams practice. I was there for a couple hours and it was grating on my nerves! Anyways, I too think that this is a good sign from the Defense as they know that they are under the microscope and maybe they will respond. One other thing, I watched some of the Line drills and Peko was consistantly getting the better the oline guys.Mike GreenWaynesville Ohio

HairOnFire
You have to know by now that I'm going to love any Bengal related analysis that mentions fictional Cleveland Indians 3rd baseman, Roger Dorn. Simply brilliant. Better still, the point about far too much being made about the loss of a couple special teams players is rock solid, and one I attempted to make during free agency. If you recall, there seemed to be a mini-panic at the time as fans watched role player after role player leave for greener pastures. But IMHO it's always wise to withhold judgement until the team has had a chance to replace the players who were lost. And on that point, it may take some time before Marvin White produces the big plays that K2 occasionaly did, but White has already demonstrated something that K2 lacked. That being, the physical ability needed to become a quality starter in the future. So as much as I appreciated the value of a respected top reserve or special teams player...I'm willing to suffer a few growing pains. As for the so-called attitude displayed by the Madieu Williams/Chad Johnson steel-cage deathmatch, didn't see it and can't comment on it very much. However, I wouldn't be shocked to learn that Williams acted more out of built up frustration rather than newfound anger and resolve. Time will tell.
