Tasher
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2884722Carson will eclipse both Manning and Brady at some point in his career. How many other QBs have come in to the situation that Carson did, turn around a franchise and make them perennial contenders?Brady came into a pretty good situation to start out with. Manning certainly did not get a team with the recent history of the Bengals, and he just threw for 4000 yards coming off knee surgery. How many NFL QBs have done that? jjakq27
I think a case can be made about Manning. The Colts were bad before he got there and awful during his first season at QB.But I do agree that Carson has all the makings of a HOF QB. Hopefully that will result in that SB title we have been longing for.

But of the non-Brady, non-Manning QBs, I think any rational observer would probably put Carson #3.I don't even know who'd be #4 QB, really. Bit of a steep drop after Carson. Rivers? Brees? I'm not ready to anoint Vince Young after part of a season. I think the national press has finally realized that Toothless needs a stacked OL and good running game around him to succeed. Forget the entire NFC. Who else is there? As for non-QBs, it'd be easy to pick LDT. Might take LJ in the top 5 if it weren't guaranteed that his corpse will be sold to a dog food factory in about 2 years. What did he do, 450 carries last year? WhoDeyForever
I would have to go with Palmer..Carson is just a stud..So much potential..There is just something about him dropping back and bombing it to Chad that I love..Dude is a beast. Jay Cutler IMO, I would never take Young over Brady. I would also take Philip Rivers over Young any day probably not Cutler though.
Kazkal
Young has youth which is huge upside but I'd put him 5th out of QB's i'd take for a new franchise Overall I rate him 10-12 area overall on QB's...but if he can become a solid passer he'll be top 5 in a few years.. Of course, if you own the Texans, you'd probably start a franchise with mario Williams!
