2006: Saw action in nine games, starting seven ... missed three contests due to injury ... was one of four senior running backs on roster ... was team leader in rushing yards with 432 on 108 attempts ... best single-game performance came in contest at Rice as he rushed for 121 yards on 18 carries with one touchdown ... also had 58 yards against SMU and 46 yards on 10 carries at Georgia.

I think you should have to make the team to get a nickname. With Rudi, Irons, Watson, and Perry, there's no way this guy is anything more than PS material.

If that, looking at his stats with this best year he got only 880 yards, I guess UAB hasn't many rb's come through the doors if he's #2 all-time. I hope he saves his sweats and gets some stuff autograph while he's in PBS cause it's going to be a short stay.

What is this the year of the Alambama running backs or something?

Eh, don't know why we picked him up..Rudi,Irons, and Watson will be our 3. I don't see Perry with this team unless he can manage to stay healthy all the way through training camp and preseason and then he will still have to prove a lot..This Burks guy looks like a bad m'fer though
