Tampa Bengal Posted April 21, 2004 Report Posted April 21, 2004 Not that Gamble is a bad choice, but I think I would rather have someone that played corner a little bit longer, rather than raw talent. I'm thinkin Will Poole would be a better choice if he is there when they pick. Quote
chrishcovga Posted April 22, 2004 Report Posted April 22, 2004 Will Poole is another one of those guys that had a great senior season, but wasn't on anyones radar before then.Marcell Almond his playing mate has better size, speed, and perhaps coverage abilities. - Don't sleep on this kid, If he's there come round 3 at # 96 or # 114, I wouldn't be surprised to see ML grab him up.Also - Chris Gamble gives you so much athleticism to play the cornerback spot, that it might be more of a gamble to not draft him. 6-1 198 and mid 4.5's and good agility. He's good value at # 24, but I actually think he'll go before then. Also Chris Gamble made a name for himself during his freshman and Sophomore years when he started experimenting with the corner position. * I personally would like to see what Marvin and Leslie could do with the kid.
