Dan2330
On ESPN Irvin blast the Bengals for trading Dillion to the Pat's stating that among other things that the Bengals would have to face the Pat's in the Championship game and Dillion would get his revenge. If I am correct is this the same Irvin who was caught doing drugs with some hookers in a seedy Dallas hotel?? I think Irvin is upset that his precious Cowboys did not get to Dillion.... proving once again why ESPN needs to stop hiring ex-players and stick to the Professionals like Mel Kipper and Len Pasquarelli
kevnz
What can you expect? I mean this is Micheal Irvin for pitys sake....Yeah it sucks, but what can we do? Protest to ESPN? Boycott? The only thing that will shut up idiots like the Dallas boy is to go out and win....Dillon's revenge? People should be more worried about the Bengals revenge. I don't care what some of the team is saying, I know they are looking forward to laying some wood on Dillon.

boomer77
it's the stupidest comment i've ever heard. you really think ml is worrying about facing the pats in the afc championship game right now? puh-leeze. just shows you he's still the snow blower he's always been. Jungle_Fever
And just how did ML make it to this "championship" game? Doing things his way and getting players that want to do it his way. That means getting rid of cry babies such as CD.

Kirkendall
I care about what Irvin says as much as wondering where my crap goes after I flush. Actually, I do kind of care where my crap goes, because we should do our part in the enviroment. I mean, crap is good for soil and stuff. As Mufasa said, it's the circle of life. So in conclusion, crap is more important than Michael Irvin. Mat -- that's my first mathmatical formula, what do you think?

jjakq27
I'll be pretty freaking happy if we face New England in the championship game. Me too!I wouldn't have traded him to someone in the division but with the new schedule rotation you may not see a player/team for four years. It just happens to be the year we play the AFC East. CD is one guy. And besides, who knows if he will even be healthy by that point of the season. It might snow and he might decide to take himself out of the game. jjakq27
Oh yeah...I remember watching Michael Irvin after the opening game against Denver saying, "oh yeah...same old Bengals". But then later in the year his rear end was firmly implanted on the Bengals bandwagon. If Dillon takes them back to the Super Bowl then good for them. But for him to imply that we traded away something (or someone) that was going to help us this year, is just wrong.
chrishcovga
Who cares what Michael Irvin says other than Michael Irvin..??* By far, the most entertaining thing about him is his suits..! For a future Hall of Famer, he may not know much about football, but the man can dress as well as STEVE HARVEY !! But I will say this : (chuckle) - Why was he dressed like DR. EVIL when he said those things about Cincy'..???

As far as professionalism goes, why the hell would you wear some of his outfits to be taken seriously. I usually can't stand ANY of his analysis. He's just a friggin' color guy for entertainment purposes.Note to Michael Irvin and Deion Sanders: If you're going to buy a suit to look professional in, don't buy it at D'everoes. Jungle_Fever
Irvin is one of the reason's I'm starting to find ESPN annoying. As soon as any other pre-game show kicks in, I always turn the channel. My own personal protest. What else can you do.In no way shape or form was CD going to help our team. I wish he would have gone to Detroit or Arizona. Funny he even seemed content to go to the Raiders even though they had a worse record than we did and supposedly he only cares about winning. The man is like a woman scorned. Best to just get on with yourself CD.Yeah I think Irvin and Sanders are founding members of the funky suit club.

wookie
Imagine Micheal Irvin not being happy that some crybaby millionaire athlete got just what he wanted, thats what Irvin built his career on. He's the one who paved the way for guys like TO and (chuckle) Dennis Northcutt. Now that we have that 2nd round pick...do we sit on all these picks and hope to pick a few diamonds in the rough in the early rounds, or do we try to deal some of the picks to move back up in the 1st round. I know this was a poll question on the homepage, but I was interested on hearing some actual opinions on the matter. I, personally would be looking at the Giants pick at #4. I'm in Jersey and have access to a lot of info about the Giants. They are not opposed to trading up or down from their position depending on what is offered. They are looking for a QB and will most likely not get the guy they want even at #4, they may be willing to swap down to #24 and pick up one of Cincy's extra picks in the 2nd and/or 3rd round and still get a decent QB.If Cincy were able to pull that off I would be happy to see them get a Sean Taylor at #4 and have a perennial pro bowler at safety, or a long term answer to CD's departure with the pick up of the very impressive Steven Jackson.I know that the prospect of having so many picks, 5 on the 1st day alone, is very promising...but after watching Dallas and Baltimore get incredibly talented safeties the past couple of drafts and to see what they've done for those teams I really would LOVE to see the Bengals be able to plug a Sean Taylor into the secondary. Also, even though the Bengals have those picks, with the exception of a couple of need areas the talent drop off is significant and it would seem like a waste if they didn't at least try to use those picks to move up and get one of these guys...who knows, even the coveted Wilfork would most likely still be available at #4?? My hope is that they get a "difference maker" or "game changer" with that first pick. That is why I'd love to see them move up and get Taylor or Udeze. But if Marvin's plan is to solidify and add depth at many positions then I say go for the sure bets. Even if it means passing over someone (Gamble) that might have a big upside but might not contribute right away, like Weathersby vs. Terrell Roberts last year.I wouldn't even mind seing some activity that would give us extra picks next year so we can manuver around if we want to.In Marvin We Trust!
