BlainThePain Posted March 9, 2007 Report Posted March 9, 2007 http://www.gbnreport.com/ For pure athleticism, though, the place to be yesterday was Rutgers where a couple of former Scarlet Knights’ DBs put on a show, CB Joe Porter, for example, ran what is being reported as a 4.28 40, while fellow corner Derrick Roberson posted a 4.34 40 clocking and had a 42.5 inch vertical leap. schweinhart Posted March 9, 2007 Report Posted March 9, 2007 Pro Days are starting to heat up now.Porter never saw the field on defense but Roberson did and he might get the call late with that kind of athletic ability. The GBN report had Kyle Young at 353 lbs., which he about looked like at the Hula and Shrine games. He had to waddle off the field bceause his legs are so fat. Too bad because he was a good player. He'll be lucky to get drafted now but the team that gets him will get a bruising if not mobile center or right guard. The guy can slug it out with big DT's in pass protect well.Johnnie Lee Higgins helped himself if his 4.3 times hold. He ran too slow at the combine. Quote

derekshank Posted March 10, 2007 Report Posted March 10, 2007 While Rutgers didn't play the toughest schedule in college football history... they did play 2 offensive power-houses in W. Virginia and Louisville, and still managed to rank 3rd in total defense. I would imagine they probably do have a couple guys worth considering. Quote
