bengalsfansince68 Posted February 23, 2007 Report Posted February 23, 2007 You find plenty of reasonable statements laughable. As I said, the reason I find that assertion laughable is that Kimo's momentum is clearly towards the ground and not at Carson's knee. He continued scrambling towards the QB as football players do, but his momentum ceased when he hit the ground and his continued fight to get to the QB caused that injury and most certainly not momentum. You misinterpret what I'm trying to say. Carson had little means of avoiding the incident, becuase you're right... he was in the pocket, where a quarterback should be. Regardless, he was standing there, and that contributed to the problem. There was probably less than 2 seconds from the time Carson releases the ball to the time Kimo makes contact with Carson's knee. In fact, Carson is still leaning forward on his follow through when Kimo hits him. Was he supposed to have sprinted to the sidelines in the 1.8 seconds he had to do so? I don't agree with the blame game some of you guys are playing here. I don't see what happened as Steinbach's fault but to try and lay part of the blame on Carson is unbelievable. Perhaps you can explain what Carson should have done to avoid his culpability for this incident. In my mind the blame lies soley with Kimo.Maybe I've earned some respect from other people here by presenting my "ridiculous opinions" in a balanced and pleasant mannerI have no disrespect for you as an individual, I don't know you or if you are deserving of respect or not. Perhaps I have come off to you in a way that suggests disrespect, if I did, I apologize. However I find this blame game exasperating and yes, I do think that placing any of the blame on Carson is RIDICULOUS!!![ Quote
