Bobcat Bengal Posted February 17, 2007 Report Posted February 17, 2007 What about Brian Leonard?Chris Perry doesn't seem like he'll be back on the field anytime soon, and this guy is as versatile as they come.Line him up as a RB, H-back, WR, etc. Quote
Kazkal Posted February 17, 2007 Report Posted February 17, 2007 Fred Bennett rnd 2 mybe? Think bengals pass on him after jjoe getting in trouble?Do you think Willis could develop his cover skills? He seems athletic enough and has a mean 38 vertical. But with that being said as much as I love willis,I 'd be just as happy getting Odell back playing Brooks at SLB then landon at WLB.(for the future starting this year probbley will be bsimmons starting mlb. That kind of versatility can go a long way.Fred Bennett rnd 2 mybe? Think bengals pass on him after jjoe getting in trouble?Do you think Willis could develop his cover skills? He seems athletic enough and has a mean 38 vertical.Bennett would work and depending on how teams feel about Chris Houston the next few weeks he could be there too. If a CB like Anthony Arline is there in the 4th, they could upgrade there. Won't be hard to do if the pick only has to be a replacement for Tory James.Willis is fine in coverage in the red zone and hops help if he can get where he needs to be in time in bracket coverage and deeper middle drops. They could do a lot worse than Willis but unless they commit Ahmad outside and dump AJ Nicholson, I'd still question the pick, even more so if O'Dell does come back and Caleb Miller don't split. Kazkal Posted February 18, 2007 Report Posted February 18, 2007 Seems CB is looking be biggest need rnd 1 yet so many knocks on each of the prospects o_O only if Nelson or landry were on the board heh. Quote
schweinhart Posted February 18, 2007 Report Posted February 18, 2007 For now it seems, especially if K2 moves on making it harder to turn Madieu loose at CB and even more so if O'Neal can't emerge from Marv's kennel. But there's also the possibility that after RFA activity is done and if no more of their own UFAs are signed, there'll be even more needs to choose from. It's looking like they might need more than just one need or one potential high impact player out of the gate. They might end up needing bodies more than anything else, which would make trading down and even out of the 1st round more appealing if they can add another 3 Day 1 picks. Quote
