jditty47
just read a tidbit about it on espn.com, Lohse resigned a one year contract, he was turned into a starter at the end of the season. Harang is eligible for arbitration, he made 2.5 mill last year and wants a raise to 5.5 mill, reds are reportedly only offering 4.25 mill. if we lose him, what the hell is our vision with our pitching staff? Whur CHad At?
Thats the reds for ya, starting to turn into the Bengals. Wasn't there goal to get the guys to win? Pssh. All though I am looking foward to Homer Bailey, but I wouldn't be suprised if we lost him as well in the near future
AMC
This is the natural arbitration process...The Reds will pay what the arbitrator says on Harang. That's why they try and swing deals ahead of time, so they are not at the mercy of a third-party....They are not in danger of losing him this year....But the team would be wise to lock him up after the one-year deal comes down....I hope this Bailey kid pans out in the Majors or there are going to be alot of ticked off people! jditty47
even if he does pan out, our starting rotation is major suspect.
Spor_tees
Maybe they will trade Bailey for another catcher!
AMC
Maybe they will trade Bailey for another catcher! Can never have too many catchers! Maybe Sal Butera is available......
