duus
It was 2001. December 30th. The last time I happened to be fortunate enough to be in Cincinnati when the Bengals and Steelers were playing in town. Does anyone else recall that game? Dec 30, 2001 The Bengals were surely bad. But they pulled this one out. Interestingly, it was the last time the Bengals have beaten the Steelers in Cincinnati. Last game of the regular season. In Cincinnati. Last time I was there for such a game. Last time the good guys won. I'll be in town this year too ... the first time in 5 years. I'm expecting the Bengals to come out on top again. Can't wait. Can't wait. Was that the Danny Farmer game? It gave us hope which we promptly followed with a 2-14 season! But that was a great game. I could sense the anticipation building in the crowd as the game wore on. From Slate:"Best Vengeance: Cincinnati's Danny Farmer, cut by the Steelers as a high draft choice, caught the tying touchdown in the closing seconds as the Bengals went on to defeat the Steelers in overtime. By the hammer of Grapthar, he was avenged!"http://www.slate.com/id/2060282
PMThor
I cannot wait. I will be there, sporting my Kilmer jersey, watching my Bengals determine their destiny, making the playoffs, knocking off Pissburgh. It will be a good day.
