rwalling
To my beloved Bengals:Welcome to the playoffs. Every game from here on out is a must win.First you get to go to Denver, one of the most difficult road venues on the planet. (Start your IVs and oxygen now Chad)Then, you get the reigning World Champs at home. Oh by the way, they would love nothing more than to be the ones who eliminate your @sses!If, and this is a mighty big if, you win these two, then your choices are a road trip to one of the following destinations:New England - Whose offense embarassed you at home in a game you lost badlySan Diego - Whose offense embarassed you at home in a game you never should have lostIndianapolis - Whose offense embarassed you at their place in a game you lost badly (seeing a pattern?)Baltimore - Whose defense beat you up physically at their placeGood luck with that!In retrospect, you have no one to blame but yourselves. The Bucs, Chargers and Falcons losses were all preventable. Then maybe you'd at least have one of these teams in the Jungle.Until this defense improves, you're not a contender, just a pretender that can beat the teams any good offense is supposed to beat. GregCook
The Bengals have become a good team and the game last night showed they have a way to go to become a great team. Playing in Indy is tough enough for any travelling team so no surprise they lost. To become great they need players that excel in the spot light such as MNF. Where was Chad? Carson? TJ? They all shrank before the challenge. The defense was exposed in the secondary by a very great QB. In the playoffs, it will be a steady diet of good to great QB's. Deltha was abused last night. Linebackers and safeties couldn't cover the middle. Defense repeatedly gave up big plays. Next week could be different but even if our boys make the playoffs, the good to great QB's will shred that defense.
