agreen_112 Posted November 30, 2006 Report Posted November 30, 2006 I can't imagine the Steelers without Cowher. It just doesn't sound right. Hopefully he stays until they run him out for having losing back to back seasons. Quote
Defender Posted November 30, 2006 Report Posted November 30, 2006 With the way their season is going right now, I don't think Cowher is going anywhere this off season. I just can't see him leaving that team in so much disarray for someone else to sort out; he has too much pride in what he built to not set the next coach up for success. If they were in the playoff hunt, I could see him taking a year or two off, but I think he'll spend at least next season trying to get the Steelers in respectable shape before he decides it's time to move on. Tasher Posted November 30, 2006 Report Posted November 30, 2006 come on!this is about a ridiculous as it gets. One of the most successful NFL Head Coaches in the longest tenured positionChampionship Winner...going to a (and this is arguable) low to mid tier college program that is not even in a premier conference.Come on. bengalboomer7 Posted November 30, 2006 Report Posted November 30, 2006 He's an alum, so it could be possible. I think it looks like Cowher has already retired Quote
DC_Bengals_Fan Posted November 30, 2006 Report Posted November 30, 2006 He's an alum, so it could be possible. I think it looks like Cowher has already retiredAnd he already built a house in NC and his wife's living there. So it's not farfetched, though the rumors are supposedly bunk. Some think he'll sit out a year or two and see what happens with John Fox, Joe Gibbs, or maybe Mora Jr.? Those jobs are all reasonably near NC. Quote
2ndyearBengal Posted November 30, 2006 Report Posted November 30, 2006 As long as he doesn't retire and get a job announcing games next to Bettis Quote
