duus
There is obvious 'wishful thinking' here, but seriously, all of this is very possible. Should this scenario play out (and I believe it actually will), this could be looked at as the defining week for the Bengals.Bengals beat Ravens on short week, with Ravens coming off emotional shutout against Steelers.Browns stun Chiefs at home, refusing to lose 3 straight home games.Packers surprise Jets in Lambeau Field.Dolphins devastate Jags in Miami as they are fighting for their own playoff spot.Broncos lose with Cutler playing in his first game, and Seahawks needing a win and getting healthy again.Where does that leave us with 4 games to go?Ravens 9-3Chiefs 7-5Bengals 7-5Broncos 7-5Dolphins 6-6Jaguars 6-6Jets 6-6That puts the Bengals 2 games out of the division with 4 to go. Not likely, but possible. And we find the Bengals sitting with the best wildcard record at 7-5. That Broncos game in late December will be huge. That Broncos game in late December will be huge.If it were to play out like that, the Broncos game would be less huge. We have the tie-breaker against KC, and KC is not likely to win out. A wildcard spot should be there for us at the end if next week plays out like that. However... it's more likely that the Browns will not beat the Chiefs and we will need that Broncos game to squeak in to the post-season.
