agreen_112
That's all we need is one big stud on Defense, mostly a LB'er. Our team would be so good if we had a bigtime LB'r. Hopefully Odell will get his s**t together and hopefully he's been keeping himself in shape... There's too many possibilities to list for structuring our D. If we don't resign Justin, then you have to assume that we'll be drafting a DE with our first pick, but then again we may use that pick somewhere else and pick up a FA DE. I say keep Justin. If we do keep Jus, then you would have to assume that we'll draft a CB or a LB.
schweinhart
The history shows the Bengals have relied on free agents for the D-line. There's been some infusion of draft picks in Jumpy Jr. and Peko but other than that it's been free agents, a waiver wire claim and Justin. My guess would be they'll shoot 1st for a 2nd tier free agent DE with upside like Chris Kelsay rather than a lighter weight edge rusher or a high-priced all downs DE.Acquiring free agents at LB to start has been far less prioritized and hasn't worked. Besides, the LB corps seeems to be the one positional group that the Bengals want to draft. How RFA's Caleb and Landon fare with offer sheets from other teams could make them lean more toward free agentcy for LB but the bumper crop of college LBs with starting potential all the way into Day 2 should probably lure another LB draft pick out of the Bengals -- most likely in Day 2 IMO. Kazkal
I would love to get Adalius Thomas but 8th year be questionable how much time he has left =/ SO I'd say Lance Briggs sense he'd be in his 5th year/

Tasher
Cut Simmons, Sign Briggs. Perfecto!Simmons will be a situational guy next year, just watch.Briggs would be a pretty good signing, but I doubt he leaves ChiTown. It will be very interesting to see how 2 years winning will increase FA interest in coming into Cincinnati for a visit by the very top echelon of FAs.There should be a lot of excitement, especially from the defensive players out there, since (with their egos) they should think they can walk in and immediately make a huge difference. schweinhart
EJ Henderson LB- VikingsAnother would-be UFA bites the dust and for pretty big $ too....5 yr, $25 mill w/ $10 mill in guarantees.http://www.twincities.com/mld/twincities/sports/16252858.htm
Dan2330
Forget about Tank Johnson after this weekend's adventures. Briggs looks good but something about Bears LB's standing out when playing in Chicago due to Urlacher getting a lot of attention. Would love to see another big man on the line, no more pushing the line around.
