kybengalsfan
I dont' agree with that. We let the browns put up 17, and the Steelers 20. Our defense will let those teams put up bigger #'s than what they showed the last 2 nights. If we dont fix it then we wont get past Indy, N.E., San Diego, or Denver in the Playoffs. We've got Indy, Denver, and Pittsburgh the last 3 weeks, and a pretty good chance that we'll play one of them again early in the playoffs. I have faith, but it's not looking too good at this point. We need to just play one game at a time and work on improving the run defense to that caliber of the Kansas City game.
agreen_112
17 points is 17 points no matter how you look at it. NE's recievers sure tore us apart. NE doesn't need Superstar recievers either with Brady in the pocket, they never have. The chick is.... take a guess???

NE doesn't need Superstar recievers either with Brady in the pocket, they never have. Neither of those things are true. 17 points against the Browns are a farce. They scored a last minute FG in garbage time. It had no meaning when you take it in the context of the game... and we had several back-ups in. Same with the TD against KC. If teams want to save face by getting garbage points... by all means. I don't give a damn. We still win the game by a wide margin. The only thing it hurts are the meaningless "statistics" that people like you read too much into. Who cares though... as long as we keep winning.Regarding Brady's WR's... They are a running team. If he is forced to throw more than he wants to, it is mostly to TE's. They aren't a team that can come from behind quickly... because they have to run the ball well to win. The Denver game is proof of that. They got behind, Brady had to throw the ball 55 times... they scored 7 points. If you slow their running game, and get a lead, they are extremely beatable. We didn't do either of those things... and that is recipe for a distaster against a team that is still very good. I just don't think they are as complete as we are. Don't let our 4th quarter disaster against them fool you into thinking we suck all of the sudden.

But, if we want to get far in the playoffs, these are the teams that we're going to have to do a better job at comparing too. Indy, NE, Pittsburgh, Denver, Baltimore and San Diego are experienced in the playoffs, we simply aren't. The coaching staff needs to do a better job. NE gave us the run and took the pass away, that was their plan defensively. It's the coaches job to reconize that and exploit it. Late in the 3rd early 4th we should've never abandonned the run, I don't care how much we were down, if the run is working run the f**king ball. I've got faith in Marv that he'll get it turned around..
