Dan2330
Before last Monday nights game the Bengals were a 4.5 point dog for week one at Kansas City. Just checked the updated lines and they are down to a 3 point dog which is the standard spread for a road team. This is more or less a PICKEM for Vegas right now, the only reason the Chiefs are giving the 3 is since they are the home team. Took a chance and placed a small bet before last Monday night in hopes that Carson would be good to go for week one, so right now I have Cincy and getting 4.5 for week one. I think the line will hold at 3 up until kickoff since week one's are always crazy weeks to bet anyways.

Maybe. But a friend and I stung a bookie this way about 15 years ago.He knew I liked to play the over, and he knew my buddy liked the under. He gave him 41,and gave me 43 1/2.I played the under,my buddy played the over, and the total was 42 points. We made some serious coin that day. I see the line droping more. I say hold off till kickoff and then when the game is a pickem go with the Chiefs then. Much bigger spread. Beerfish
The Bengals are a dog to the Chefs? (great googly moogly) I'm surprised by that.

(great googly moogly) I'm surprised by that.Home field advantage is generally figurd for 3 pts. I would guess more for KC. Taking the HF advantage out of the equation they are almost equal. I would image it will move though more towards Cincy.

Much bigger spread.Maybe not,but we were getting tired of this guy playing with the spread/over/under based on who was placing the bet.So we took a chance, and he got burned. He never said anything, but he stopped monkeying around with the points(as far as us)after that. And if it's anything else, it's a wash?I'm not much of a gambler, but I think I'd pass on that one.

You could have a had a wide spread there wtih that 4 1/2 point and possibly a pick'em by game time. Good chance to clean up on both bets then. lando griffin
I put $25 on Bengals +3 to win $23 and change, and $25 on Bengals -4 to win $52. I feel the Bengals will definitely win by more than 4, but I kind of hedged my bet in case the Bengals don't with the +3 since I still feel its a lock they just win. Shoulda just taken the damn money line now that I think of it. I'm a high roller as you can tell.By the way, you guys are correct, the line is +2.5 now

lando griffin
Get a load of these guys?DId they see the same team I saw?Absolute homers...I feel like I'm being pretty objective in my opinion that the bengals are a lock. I still don't think anyone in the nation has actually realized what is going on with our roster. The depth, the players getting comfortable with our schemes on both sides of the ball, continuity, talented youth, solid backups and key players being locked up. It will take more than one super bowl for anyone to take notice. Colts will probably continue to be pre-season super bowl favorites by the media for the next 3 years. ArmyBengal
Homers, just like us !!! However, if it is a shootout, the Bengals come on top...
