kevnz
To further our recent discussion about FA compensation for Spikes....this popped up on NFL.comWhat are the determining factors in teams receiving compensation picks in the third round, seventh round, etc.?--Christopher Under terms of the NFL collective-bargaining agreement, a team losing more or better compensatory free agents than it acquires in a year is eligible to receive compensatory draft picks. The number of picks a team receives equals the net loss of compensatory free agents up to a maximum of four. Compensatory free agents are determined by a formula -- developed by the NFL Management Council -- that factors in salary, playing time and postseason honors. Not every free agent lost or signed by a club is covered by this formula. The 32 compensatory choices added to the 2003 draft were positioned within rounds four through seven, based on the value of the compensatory free agents lost. don't know what it means about us getting for spikes though...and was the person that asked our very own chrishcovga? chrishcovga
Yes, it only took them a week or more to finally answer the question. It took D.J. Boyer from Football.com, till the next morning to answer it.
